MORONG, Bataan- The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the Bataan PNP confiscated yesterday morning two high-powered gun and bullets from a businessman in Morong town.
Chief Inspector Melchor B. Cantil, CIDG provincial officer, reported to Sr. Supt. Elmo Sarona, CIDG regional officer that they were able to confiscate a carbine rifle, shot gun and magazines and bullets for carbine from the house of Julito Florendo at Sitio Nagpajo, Poblacion, this town during an early Tuesday raid at the remote town.
Major Cantil said the raid was conducted jointly by CIDG, local PNP and members of the Community Investigative Support (CIS) a civilian agents tapped by the CIDG. “This is in accordance to our ‘Oplan Paglalansag Omega,’ project,” said Cantil.
In Orani town, the CIDG also arrested Eduardo Tamayo, 41, after the CIDG agents and the PNP under Sr. Supt. Ric Zapata, provincial director, conducted a buy-bust operation in his house that resulted to the confiscation of an M16 armalite rifle, 46 live bullets and shabu from him.
Also confiscated from the suspect was marked money used in the buy-bust operation, said Major Cantil.
In Tarlac, members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group also confiscated an arms cache, including grenades while Nine sex workers were also rescued in an operations by the CIDG teams from Tarlac and Bataan provinces.
Chief Inspector Rogarth B. Campo, Tarlac CIDG provincial officer, said that they seized five rifle and hand grenades, one shot gun, one colt 45, one machine caliber 22 pistol, one 9mm, one caliber 38 snub nose and various rounds of live bullets were taken from the house of Edward Carillo of Sta. Ines centro, Sta. Ignacia town.
“During the search the suspected gun owner was not inside their house but we’re able to search his house in the presence of barangay officials,” reported Major to Sr. Supt. Elmo Sarona, CIDG regional chief for Central Luzon.
Campo said the search was in order since Judge Ramon Pamular of the Regional Trial Court of Guimba, Nueva Ecija issued the search warrant order.
In Mt. View, Mariveles, Bataan Chief Inspector Melchor B. Cantil, Bataan CIDG chief, also reported to Col. Sarona that they were able to arrest a floor manager and cashier of a suspected sex den and rescued Nine sex workers inside the Stardazz diosa videoke and restaurant.
Major Cantil identified the arrested maintainers as Enry Yutoc and Remalyn Mahigugmacon.
Recovered from the suspects were three pieces of P500 bill marked money in exchange for a sex service during the raid.-Mar T Supnad
